I bought this combination shovel/pick about four years ago. I take camping and to deer camp. It is a well balanced tool regardless of the orientation of the working end. It locks firmly into place at any angle. My family and deer camp buddies favor this tool above others. The quality is very high. It is worth every cent they charge for it.

Excellent quality steel and hickory handle. This is an extremely versatile tool. You essentially have a pick, hoe, scraper, and shovel in one tool. The hoe function easily moves a lot of dirt and can chop through 2-3 inch roots. It can also stand up to dings with rocks. The pick can move some very large rocks, upwards of 50lbs. Works decently as a shovel. If I had one tool for trail building, this would be it. The only negative is that the head become loose after a few swings. It’s a quick fix, but I would like to see a better locking mechanism.
